Fridge/Freezer/Pantry Sorting Activity – Students use a labeled index card box to classify the laminated photo cards of various food items and sort them based on where they belong to best preserve their freshness
French-Fry Counting Activity – Students use French-fry container and pipe cleaner “French-fries” to put in the appropriate number of fries as noted by an adult with the dry-erase marker on the label affixed to the front of the container
Put It Together Card Game – Students play with up to three players, this fun card game where they have to collect cards to identify the correct sequence in four common food service tasks, i.e. making cup of coffee
Fast Food Order Screen – Students will use an icon rich fast food ordering screen (common in most fast food restaurants) to fulfill the orders show on the laminated order cards using provided bingo board marker
Filling A Tray – Students will develop their understanding of the classification of various foods commonly found in a school lunch. They will sort using picture card foods as either: proteins, starches, vegetables or fruits into the label-segmented folder provided. Students will then fill orders using laminated template cards
